Sports Complex - Archery RFP
The Boyd County Fiscal Court ("County") invites sealed proposals from qualified and experienced commercial general contractors to provide demolition, renovation, construction, commissioning, startup, closeout, and related services necessary to develop a public indoor archery facility within County-owned space located in the Camp Landing Entertainment District in Ashland, Kentucky. The facility is intended to support public recreation, organized archery programs, competitions, community events, youth activities, and related recreational uses.
The project consists generally of the demolition and consolidation of approximately five existing retail tenant spaces into a single facility containing approximately 12,500 square feet of usable floor area; construction of a twelve-lane indoor archery range; construction of storage facilities; modifications to electrical, mechanical, fire protection, and life-safety systems; concrete floor finishing; painting; cabinetry; and all related work necessary to deliver a complete, functional, code-compliant facility.
This solicitation is intended to obtain comprehensive pricing from qualified contractors capable of providing a turnkey project. Except as specifically identified within this RFP as Owner-Furnished Materials or Owner-Furnished Services, the Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, permits assigned to the Contractor, inspections, testing, startup services, warranties, and incidental items necessary to fully complete the Project. Archery targets, target faces, bows, arrows, netting systems, curtain systems, range accessories, and competition equipment are owner-furnished and are excluded from the contractor's scope unless specifically identified by addendum.
The County intends for this solicitation to promote fair competition, encourage accurate and complete pricing, minimize bid contingencies resulting from ambiguity, and allow evaluation of qualifications, experience, pricing, schedule, and project understanding.
The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities or irregularities where permitted by law, request additional information from proposers, conduct interviews, negotiate within the scope of this solicitation, and award a contract determined to be in the best interest of Boyd County.
Submission of a proposal constitutes acknowledgment that the proposer has examined the solicitation documents, reviewed available information, attended any required site visits, investigated conditions affecting the work, and prepared its proposal accordingly.
The following schedule is provided for planning purposes. Boyd County reserves the right to modify any date through written addendum.
