City of Alexandria Joins NKY Chamber Business Councils
The NKY Chamber is excited to announce the addition of the Alexandria Business Council to the NKY Chamber Business Councils.
Officially launching in January 2027, the Alexandria Business Council will help business owners in the city of Alexandria and southern Campbell County connect more effectively with each other, local officials and the broader Northern Kentucky region while strengthening communication and collaboration with the NKY Chamber. Alexandria is the fifth city to form a NKY Chamber Business Council, joining Erlanger, Florence, Fort Thomas, and Newport.
The Business Councils were created to foster collaboration, promote economic growth, and provide support for local business development, while also serving as a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and advocacy issues directly impacting each council’s community. Business Councils bring together local businesses, community leaders and stakeholders to talk about what’s happening in the city, build relationships, identify ways to strengthen the local business environment, and engage more fully with the Northern Kentucky region.
“Alexandria has transitioned from a small rural town to a thriving, active, suburban community,” said Andy Schabell, mayor of Alexandria and Campbell County judge/executive-elect. “I’m excited to see the ways in which the Alexandria Business Council will support all of our entrepreneurs and small businesses, promote more partnerships, and create opportunities for Alexandria to grow even more into a community people seek out in which to live, work, and raise their families.”
Business Councils provide opportunities for business leaders to connect with one another and other professionals who understand the community and the challenges and opportunities that come with doing business there. These can become customers, referral partners, resources, and trusted connections. Joint meetings in collaboration with the NKY Chamber feature elected officials such as the governor, secretary of transportation, judges/executive and more, bringing important conversations about state priorities, infrastructure, and economic development directly to the business communities they impact.
“We’re thrilled to have Alexandria join the ranks of NKY Chamber Business Councils,” said Brent Cooper, president and CEO of the NKY Chamber. “This collaboration will further unite our region and provide additional resources and support for businesses in Alexandria and southern Campbell County to continue to thrive. We’re excited to see the Business Councils expand and ignite even more regional success for our business community.”
Membership in Business Councils is open to businesses, industry associations, government officials, educational institutions, and community organizations within their respective city limits. For NKY Chamber member businesses located in participating cities, council membership is automatically included. Businesses do not need to be NKY Chamber members to participate.
